Location: Sutro Baths & Thornton Beach
Some love stories are a decade in the making. Lizzie and Truong have been together for almost ten years, and we've been following each other since our UCLA days. Finally getting to photograph their engagement session felt like a full-circle moment.
The iconic Camera Obscura building at Sutro Baths provided the perfect backdrop—that vintage yellow structure with "GIANT CAMERA" emblazoned across it is pure San Francisco charm. From there, we wandered down to Thornton Beach, where dramatic ocean views and lush coastal hillsides created that moody, romantic atmosphere the city is known for.
Both Lizzie and Truong are photography enthusiasts themselves, so they understand aesthetics on a deeper level. Their fashion choices reflected that—black blazers, platform shoes, flowing neutrals, pops of red, and wildflower bouquets that added vibrant color against the overcast sky. Every detail was intentional yet effortless.
